Meet Dr. Bob Ghelfi

Dr. Bob Ghelfi

Dr-GhelfiRobert, Bob, Ghelfi has known since the time he entered third grade that he wanted to be a doctor.  His love of science and education in general, sparked his passion to pursue a medical career. After receiving his medical degree from Loma Linda University in California in 1986, Dr. Ghelfi completed his Residency in Surgery at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in 1991. As a board certified General Surgeon, he than pursued his surgical practice at the Northern California Surgical Group in Redding, C.A.

The experience he received after medical school in surgical training left him feeling confidant and well versed in the medical profession, expertly able to tackle any challenge. During those following 18 years practicing medicine as a general surgeon in Redding, California, he took care of exceedingly sick and injured patients as he continued to gain knowledge and refine his skills.

His interest in functional and regenerative medicine began when members of his family sought consultation regarding conditions he was unfamiliar with. At that time he pursued continuing educational courses in the medical arena of functional medicine, finding it both interesting and exciting. Dr. Ghelfi was so inspired that he incorporated functional medicine into his surgical practice and eventually joined the BogyLogicMD network of professionals to start a new practice, Infinity Health and Rejuvenation Center (BodyLogicMD of Sacramento), which is entirely focused in this field.

His sole practice is now directed completely on treating people with a combination of hormones, fitness, and nutrition, opting to no longer perform surgical operations although he remains an active Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, as well as an active member of the fellowship for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Outside of the office, one can find Dr. Ghelfi competing in marathons with his wife and partner in the Center, Marilee Ghelfi, R.N., and their four children. Keeping well and fit, Dr. Ghelfi works hard at practicing the same methods and treatments he prescribes for his patients.

The philosophy employed at his practice, Infinity Health and Rejuvenation Center, pivots around living well through managed meal plans, employing smart fitness choices, as well as safe utilization of bioidentical hormones when needed.  Dr. Bob Ghelfi truly feels privileged to take care of patients who are motivated to live better, longer.
